The best way to understand the issues of poverty, development, and ministry in Africa is to experience them first hand. Conversations about the complexity of day to day life activities take on a whole new depth when you are standing in a village watching, and even participating in, the process. People who have experienced a place and thought deeply about the issues become advocates for change. They are better stewards of their giving and are able to challenge the assumptions and stereotypes they encounter back home. “Experience Africa” is what we call anything that helps people understand Africa better including trips to Tanzania and volunteering in our village project and events. This helps to develop strong and accountable locals leaders who will lead communities locally and to serve in missions.
